TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2009

PUBLIC HEARING &SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

5:30 PM

 

1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem Castro called the City of Hilshire Village Special Council Meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. at 8301 Westview, Houston, Texas 77055.

Invocation was given by Mayor Pro Tem Castro.

 

1.2. Present were, Mayor Pro Tem Connie Castro and Council Members Shannon Whiting, Cheryl Wolfe, Edward Davis and Bill Bristow. Mayor Robin Border was absent.

 

2. CITIZENS COMMENTS: None

 

Council recessed the Council Meeting at 5:32 PM

 

Public Hearing was started at 5:33 PM

 

3. DISCUSSION

 

3.1 The City’s Proposed 2009 total Rollback Tax Rate of $0.552646/$100 an increase of $0.024051 versus the 2008 rate of $0.528595/$100 valuation or 2009: There was no discussion

 

3.2 2010 General Fund and Utility Fund Budget: There was no discussion

COUNCIL COMMENTS: None

 

Public Hearing was closed at 5:37 PM

 

Council Meeting reconvened at 5:38 PM

 

4. ACTION ITEMS (CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON): None

5. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION: None

 

6: Announcements:

 

City Secretary Blevins reminded Council that there would be a special Council Meeting October 12, 2009 at 6:00 PM to vote on the City’s Proposed Tax Rate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. Adjournment: Council Member Davis made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Council Member Whiting.
